The Education Arm of Glorious Future
Located in Matugga Ssanga Buwonzi, Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District, Uganda, Glorious Future Nursery & Primary School is the education arm of Glorious Future Foundation — a faith-driven learning community that nurtures vulnerable and underserved children with quality academics, biblical values and holistic care.
From nursery through to upper primary, our learners are equipped with strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and character — raising a generation of confident, compassionate young Ugandans who will transform their communities for the glory of God.
What began with just 21 children learning in a church hall has grown into a school now serving 156 children — many of them orphans, street-connected children, and learners from families that could not otherwise afford an education.
Born From a Community Need
The story of Glorious Future Nursery & Primary School began with a heartbreaking observation. While other children put on uniforms and went to class each morning, a growing number of local children — orphans, street-connected children, and those from low-income families — had nowhere to go.
Many of them began gathering at the church compound during school hours, simply because there was no school they could afford to attend. Moved by compassion and a deep conviction that no child should be left behind, the pastor and church members responded the only way they knew how — they began to teach them.
There were no classrooms, no desks, no fees and no formal plan. Just a willingness to open the doors of the church, share what little was available, and give these children a chance to learn, grow and dream again.
What began as a small act of obedience has, by God’s grace, become a thriving school with a real future.
From a Church Hall to a Growing School
Each chapter of our story is a testimony of God’s faithfulness, community generosity, and the unwavering belief that every child deserves an education.
The first 21 children gather in the church hall, taught by volunteers from the congregation. There are no desks, no fees and no uniforms — only a deep commitment to give vulnerable children a chance to learn.
Word spreads quickly through the community. More children arrive each term, and the church hall can no longer hold them all. Volunteers and parents begin discussing how to create proper learning spaces.
The local community pulls together — donating timber, bricks and labour — to put up temporary classroom structures. For the first time, learners have dedicated spaces to study, even if the walls are still humble.
The school formally extends from nursery into primary classes. Teaching becomes more structured, attendance records are kept, and a steady rhythm of school life takes hold.
Today, the school serves 156 learners from nursery to primary level. The need for permanent classrooms, dormitories and modern facilities has become urgent — and we are inviting partners to help us build a school that will serve this community for generations.
What Drives Us Every Day
We exist to raise God-fearing, knowledgeable and morally upright young people who can transform their communities and impact the world for the glory of God.
To provide a Christ-centered education that nurtures every child spiritually, academically, socially and physically — equipping them to serve God and their community with excellence, integrity and compassion.
To raise a generation of God-fearing, knowledgeable and morally upright leaders who positively impact their communities, their nation and the wider world — rooted in the Word of God and prepared for every good work.
What Makes Our School Different
A solid Ugandan primary curriculum delivered by trained, faith-filled teachers who care about every learner’s progress.
Daily devotions, Bible study and Christ-centered mentorship form the heartbeat of school life, shaping character at every level.
Meals, scholastic materials, health checks and protection — ensuring every child can learn, grow and truly thrive.
Sports, music, drama and creative arts that grow confidence, teamwork and God-given talents in every child.
Strict child-protection policies and pastoral care so every child feels seen, safe, supported and deeply loved.
Through child sponsorship, supporters help orphaned and vulnerable children access full school placement, meals and care.
A Real School, Serving Real Children
Today, classes run every weekday from nursery through to upper primary. Teachers report for duty, children arrive in uniforms, attendance is taken, lessons are taught, and break-time is full of laughter and play — just as it should be in any good school.
But behind the joy, the reality is humbling. Most of our classrooms are still temporary timber-and-brick structures put up by the community. Children share desks. Books are limited. There is no library, no computer lab and no proper dining hall. When it rains heavily, lessons stop.
We have done everything we can with what we have. We are deeply grateful to our teachers, our directors, the church and the parents who have carried this school on their shoulders for the past four years. But to keep growing — and to give these children the quality of education they truly deserve — we now need permanent facilities.
Children Who Deserve a Chance
Our school is open to boys and girls aged 4 to 20, with a special heart for the most vulnerable in our community — the children many other schools never reach.
Children who have lost one or both parents and have no one else to invest in their education.
Children who would otherwise be on the streets — vulnerable to hunger, abuse and exploitation.
Children from families that simply cannot afford the fees charged by traditional private schools.
We welcome both boys and girls and are committed to equal access, dignity and opportunity for every child.
We have grown from 21 learners in a church hall to 156 children enrolled today.

The Next Chapter of Our Story
To give every child a permanent, safe and well-resourced place to learn, we need to develop the following facilities. Each one is essential — and each one is an opportunity for a partner to make a tangible, lasting difference.
Solid, weatherproof classrooms that replace temporary timber structures and give every class a proper home.
A central office for school leadership, teachers, records and parent engagement — the operational heart of the school.
A quiet space stocked with books to nurture a love for reading, research and lifelong learning.
Basic computer literacy is no longer optional. A lab will open up a world of digital skills and opportunities.
Desks, chairs, shelves and teaching aids so children can learn comfortably and teachers can teach effectively.
A hygienic kitchen and dining hall to prepare and serve meals — often the most reliable meal a child receives all day.
Safe accommodation for children without stable homes, so they can sleep, study and grow in a protected environment.
Clean, accessible toilets and handwashing stations — essential for health, dignity and especially for girls’ retention.
Proper play and sports grounds so children can develop physically, build teamwork and simply enjoy being children.
A secure boundary wall to protect children, staff and property — giving parents peace of mind every single day.
What Your Support Will Make Possible
When these facilities are in place, the change will be felt immediately — not only by the 156 children currently enrolled, but by every child this school will go on to serve in the coming generations.
Why This Project Will Last
This is not a short-term idea or a one-off campaign. It is a community-led mission with strong local ownership, transparent reporting and a proven track record of doing more with less.
Glory of Christ Church and its members are fully invested in the school’s daily operation and long-term success.
Parents and local community members have given time, materials and labour from day one — and continue to do so.
Attendance, enrolment and progress records are maintained, with regular reporting to leadership and partners.
Funds are tracked carefully and reviewed through internal evaluations to ensure every shilling is well used.
